The 2015 NHL all-star weekend starts Friday, and hockey fans worldwide are excited for what it has in store.
With the 2015 NHL All-Star break upon us, hockey fans are looking forward to what the weekend has to offer.

When the first six All-Star players were announced, Chicago Blackhawks fans were thrilled with the results. With five of the six first picks being ‘Hawks players, the NHL All-Star weekend was justifying just how dominant Chicago’s roster truly is.
These five Blackhawks include: Patrick Kane (RW), Jonathan Toews (C), Duncan Keith (D), Brent Seabrook (D), and Corey Crawford (G).
With the way these players have been performing thus far in the season, it’s no surprise to see their names on the All-Star roster. The sixth player is Zemgus Girgensons (C) of the Buffalo Sabres.

The mock draft will be held Friday, January 23 on NBC Sports. Team captains, Columbus Blue Jackets‘ Nick Foligno, and Chicago Blackhawks’ Jonathan Toews, will have quite the roster to choose from during the draft.
The All-Star skills competition, scheduled to take place Saturday, January 24, is another event that hockey fans look forward to during this exciting weekend. The skills competition is made up of six events, including: fastest skater, breakaway challenge, accuracy shooting, skills challenge relay, hardest shot, and finally, the shootout.
Currently, the hardest shot in NHL history is held by Boston Bruins Zdeno Chara, who sent the puck flying between the pipes at 108.8 mph!
The 2015 NHL All-Star Game will be held Sunday, January 25 in Columbus, Ohio. Who will win the game is quite unpredictable, considering the impressive roster of players each team is sure to have.
