The matchup between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks provide many reasons to think this Super Bowl will be one for the ages.

Roger Goodell and the NFL office had to be absolutely giddy once realizing the two teams that would face off in Super Bowl XLIX.

Okay, there’s still an abundance of cloud surrounding the game as it relates to “Inflate-Gate,” but when purely looking at the matchup and breaking down the game itself, the possibilities are beautiful.

On one side we have the defending champion Seattle Seahawks. They are coached by an enthusiastic football lifer, and attempt to physically and mentally take their opponents out of the game.

This is exactly what they did a season ago in New Jersey as Kam Chancellor set the tone early on Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. From that point on it felt like we were watching the JV squad going up against the 1985 Chicago Bears.

The Broncos wanted nothing to do with those men on the other side.

On the other side we have Pete Carroll’s former team, the Bill Belichick lead New England Patriots. Yet again, they have won another AFC Championship and will be heading to their sixth Super Bowl during the Tom Brady-Belichick era.

Much like the other five times, they’ve done it through a chameleon like ability to gameplan specifically for their opponents. For all the negative that is swirling around about Belichick, the one you can’t say is that he didn’t innovate this league. His way of putting together a roster and a strategy that is so easy to manipulate for team-specific gameplans has been duplicated by most.

Considering half of the banged up Legion of Boom will be healthy for the game and nobody from the New England side is suspended, here are five reasons to believe that Super Bowl XVIX will be a classic:
