FA Cup Fixtures for this weekend

The fixtures and times for this weekends FA Cup ties

The fourth round of the F.A Cup will play out this weekend with a lot of the EPL teams in action over Saturday  and Sunday.

More from Premier League

Defending Champions Arsenal have what appears on paper to be an easy tie against Brighton Hove Albion, a championship side currently sitting in 19th place. Brighton have only managed 6 wins out of a possible 29 in the league this year, but that’s the beautiful thing about the F.A Cup- anything can happen. In saying that however, I would put my chips on Arsenal if I were a betting man. (Which I am, but the odds are so stacked in Arsenal’s favor it wouldn’t be worth a bet)

Manchester Utd are away to Cambridge Utd. With Utd hitting some consistency of late, despite a blip against Southampton, they should coast past Cambridge who are no where near EPL standards. Utd will most likely rest some of their stars and still win with ease.

Manchester City are at home to Middlesbrough. Man City always take this cup seriously, couple that with the fact they are at home they should win this fairly comfortably. Middlesbrough are in good form with only one defeat in their last game, but I think this might be a step too far for the championship side.

Liverpool are at home to Bolton wanderers which will see a return of David Ngog to Anfield. Confidence is high at Liverpool right now with 8 wins out of their last 9 games with their only draw being with Chelsea. With the form Liverpool are bringing in to this game, I can only see the game going one way.

Chelsea are at home to League 1 side Bradford City (League 1 being the third tier of English football). This should be a clear cut game with Chelsea winning easily. They will most likely rest a few of their stars, even with a weakened team I would be surprised if they don’t win by a clear two goals.

Tottenham play Leicester in White Harte Lane. Tottenham have won 3 of their last 5 games which is indifferent form at best considering their opposition during those games. However they are playing a team that sit bottom of the EPL with 2 victories in their last 10 games. Last time the 2 teams met, Spurs won 2-1. A similar score this time around is a safe bet.

Swansea City travel to Blackburn. The Welsh side are coming off a 5-0 defeat at the hand of Chelsea F.C. However they are still clear favorites against the championship side.

Southampton are at home to Crystal Palace. Palace are re-energized under new boss Alan Pardew (Formally of Newcastle) and this tie could go either way. You would have to tip the scales of advantage towards Southampton as they have defied their critics with an incredible season, plus home advantage is always huge in cup ties!
