New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick addressed the deflated football scandal hanging over their AFC Championship win for the first time on Thursday.

He opened the press conference talking for roughly nine minutes before taking a single question and addressed the issue at length, and by length we mean he talked a lot without seemingly saying anything.

The most notable part was when he seemingly passed the blame onto quarterback Tom Brady.

“Tom’s [Brady] personal preferences on his footballs are something he can take about in much better detail and information than I could possibly provide,” Belichick said. “I could tell you that in my entire coaching career I have never talked to any player, staff member about football air pressure. That is not a subject that I have ever brought up.”

After he was done with his monologue to open the press conference he channeled his inner-Marshawn Lynch repeating the same lines over and over again as he deflected questions and avoiding answering, but if you missed it you can read an entire transcript of the press conference, which lasted roughly 13 minutes, below.
