Another day, another fine for Marshawn Lynch

When Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch scored his fourth quarter touchdown on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game comeback against the Green Bay Packers, although it wasn’t as obvious as his Week 17 gesture against the Arizona Cardinals, he celebrated by a subtle grabbing of his crotch. Of course, now he is being forced to pay up.

According to Adam Schefter, the league has fined Lynch $20,000 for his gesture on Sunday.

The fine this time around is a bit higher than the one that he received for the same gesture against the Cardinals. In late December he was fined just a little over $11,000 for the same act.

Now, this could not be the last fine that Lynch sees within the next few weeks.

Schefter is also reporting that should Lynch shun the media next week ahead of the Super Bowl showdown against the New England Patriots, they are considering cutting into his wallet even more, to the tune of around $50,000.

Well, the thing is, it doesn’t seem as if asking Marshawn Lynch for money if he refuses to comply with the rules bothers him all that much. Come on, didn’t part of you believe that he was going to wear the gold shoes on Sunday after he was warned?
