Arkansas Razorbacks star Bobby Portis hit a shot at the buzzer to beat Alabama in the most dramatic way possible.
Winning on a last second shot in a game is always nice. It’s nice for the player who won the game, nice for his teammates and nice for everyone across the world who enjoys watching the complete contrasts of emotions that sports can throw out.

Such a case emerged this week, when Arkansas nailed a last second shot to win a basketball game over Alabama. After a weak shot that missed the rim by a half mile by Arkansas guard Ky Madden, Portis capitalized on weak defending by Alabama’s Shannon Hale. Portis’ game-winning shot ensured Arkansas would avoid a three-game losing streak and a second straight home loss.
Is there a better way to win, and a worse way to lose?
Look at the euphoria that emerges from the Arkansas bench when the shot goes in, and then take a look at the Alabama players when they realize that the game is over and that yes, they have in fact lost.
Bobby enjoyed the game with 10 points and 13 rebounds, the double double coming on the perfect night as it just so happened to be Bobby Portis headband night in the Bud Walton Arena last night.
The win gives the Razorbacks a record of 14-4 overall.
Alabama are left with a record of 12-6 with only 1 victory coming on the road.
