Rockets’ Dwight Howard leaves game with ankle injury
By Mike Dyce
Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard left Friday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns with an ankle injury and won’t return.
The Houston Rockets made a big play to sign Dwight Howard a couple of summers ago during free agency. They landed the big man and he is an integral part of the team and their championship aspirations.
On Friday night against the Phoenix Suns, Howard left the game after appearing to roll his ankle.
While there is no word on how severe, it was diagnosed as an ankle sprain and announced that Howard would not return to the game. That could be a precautionary move on the Rockets part to ensure Howard’s health, but at the moment it is a close game with a team just a couple of spots behind them in the standings.
There probably won’t be any further updates in the evening on Howard’s condition as they wait to examine it further.
Our Houston blog is confident the Rockets can win without him.
In other news Dwight Howard made a three-pointer. Seriously.
