The Seattle Seahawks are playing for a second straight Super Bowl and will honor their “12th man” by making their home fans part of the jerseys they’ll wear in Super Bowl 49 on Feb. 1.
Century Link Field may be the toughest place to play for visiting teams and it is not just because they’re playing Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks, but because of how loud the fans get during the game.

Known as the “12th Man” the fans in CenturyLink field are as loud as any other fans in the NFL with the exception of the Kansas City Chiefs fans who broke the Guinness world record for loudest stadium previously held by the 12’s.
Many of them will be making the trip to Glendale, AZ for the Super Bowl on Feb. 1, but the overwhelming majority of Seahawks fans who have lost their voice yelling and cheering them on won’t be able to take in the game in person.
However, they will be there in spirit.
In a tribute from the Seahawks for their passionate fans a “12” was sewn inside the collar of their Super Bowl jerseys in what has to be one of the coolest things any professional or college team has done to honor their fans.

How awesome is this?!
You don’t need to be a fan of the Seahawks to appreciate this, but I think the Seahawks have gained a few million fans this week as they prepare to meet the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ on Feb. 1.
After the Patriots are involved in a second cheating scandal with under-inflated balls used in the first half of their 45-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship Game I think any fans on the fence about who to cheer for are now on the Seahawks side.

12th Man Rising
Last year the Seahawks were viewed as the villain in the Super Bowl against the Denver Broncos after Sherman’s post game interview with Erin Andrews after beating the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game rubbed many the wrong way, and America’s undying love for Peyton Manning.
This year the shoe is one the other foot as Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are viewed as the evil cheaters who don’t deserve to be here while the Seahawks are still basking in the glory from their improbable 16-point comeback victory over the Green Bay Packers in last week’s NFC Championship Game.
