They say history is doomed to repeat itself, so we shouldn’t be surprised to see Tyler Seguin traded for Phil Kessel… again.

The 2015 NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft featured a trade on Friday night, with all-star team captains Nick Foligno of the Columbus Blue Jackets and Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks agreeing to the deal.

It was a light-hearted moment between the two teams, with the teams swapping Dallas Stars star Tyler Seguin and Phil Kessel of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Yeah, they went there. And everyone had a laugh.

If you don’t recall, the Boston Bruins traded Phil Kessel to Toronto for a first- and second-round pick in 2010 and a first-round pick in 2011. The 2010 first-round pick was used to select Seguin, who was eventually shipped off to the stars.

The little trade brought an entertaining pause to the draft — which was excruciatingly dragging on.

Ryan Johansen of the Columbus Blue Jackets was the first pick of his teammate on Team Foligno, while Kessel was the top pick of Team Toews.
