Houston Texans’ All-Pro defensive end JJ Watt showed he could be a force on offense this season

JJ Watt is an MVP candidate and the best defensive end in football. This year, he increased his role even more as a football player and got out on the field offensively.

Watt scored multiple touchdowns as a tight end and also had 20.5 sacks, leading all defensive ends. With the Pro Bowl coming up, and it generally not being taken seriously, could Watt be given a look on offense?

Watt has shown his ability to be a threat on offense, and there is a good chance that fans this Sunday will see Watt on offense when he and Team Cris Carter take the field at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.

In Pro Bowl practice at Scottsdale Community College, Watt was catching passes from Pro Bowl teammate and Buffalo Bills’ defensive lineman Kyle Williams.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh, who will be coaching Team Carter, says there will be a package in place for the defensive end.

“That might be something we could have up our sleeves, absolutely,. We got a couple ideas. You got a lot of guys with skills out here.” Harbaugh said to NFL writer Kevin Patra.

With the Pro Bowl being an event for the fans and a day for players to have fun, it makes all the sense in the world for Watt to play offense and put on a show for all in attendance.

It might not stop there either.

Watt was also kicking field goals in practice.

Is there anything he can’t do? The Texans have quarterback issues right? Okay that last part was a joke…maybe.
