The NHL All-Star festivities have a 34-foot snow slide that looks pretty fun, but also pretty dirty.

With the NHL All-Star Weekend underway and the All-Star fantasy draft all finished, the festivities have begun.

One of the main attractions at this year’s All-Star Fan Festival in Columbus is a 34-foot snow slide. For just the small price of $2, fans can take a ride down the snow slide that, reportedly, tops out at 25 mph.

As one of the first test runs, the Columbus Blue Jackets sent their mascot, that scary, giant insect, down the slide as one of the first to take the ride.

The fans seem to enjoy it though.

While the mascot seemed to really enjoy the ride, and it does look like a lot of fun, I couldn’t help but notice how dirty it looked. This video was taken right when it first opened, and it looks like it was made from snow completely covered in dirt.

Can’t they find some fresh snow and throw it on top or something? Just make it look a bit more appealing. As it looks right now, I don’t think I’d pay the two bucks to ride down that unless they had some antiseptic waiting for me at the bottom.

H/T to Sports Illustrated for the information.
