5. Green Bay Packers

In the NFC Championship Game, the Green Bay Packers were up 12 with four minutes to go. Many will look at that game and remember the failed onside kick recovery by Brandon Bostick and the inability to stop the two-point conversion by Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Despite that, the fact of the matter is that the Packers did not score on two goal-to-go situations in the first quarter. Going into Seattle and beating the defending Super Bowl champions is no easy task, but the Packers were close to doing so and they will have the ability to refuel through free agency and the draft to improve their areas of need.

In 2015, the Packers will be bringing back key players in Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy, Jordy Nelson, and C.J. Matthews. In the trenches, offensive linemen like T.J. Lang, Corey Linsley, and Josh Sitton. Julius Peppers and Mike Daniels will also be back for the defensive line. Guys like Randall Cobb and Bryan Bulaga need their contracts renewed and although both might go elsewhere this offseason, the Packers have guys like Davante Adams and J.C. Tretter who could man the positions. Green Bay has its flaws in the secondary, but they will have the opportunity to improve that over the offseason. Whatever their flaws are, the Packers have the best quarterback in football and that alone warrants them to be a favorite for the Super Bowl next season.
