50 cent was given an award for his Citi Field classic moment
Baseball has a longtime tradition of famous people throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before games. What this means is, nearly every year there is a celebrity that seems to make a terrible throw from the mound. This past year 50 Cent set a new low in both his career and in baseball after throwing probably the worst first pitch at a New York Mets game ever.

This past week he was promptly awarded for it
The southpaw’s pitch was so bad it sailed directly left and never had a shot at finding the catcher. Technically that could describe the Mets for the last decade as well but that’s not the point here.
50 Cent’s valiant effort reminded everyone why some people shouldn’t quit their day jobs or at least that if you’re ever given the opportunity to throw out the first pitch, at least throw it at the catcher.
This week, MLB Network awarded 50 Cent for his terrible pitch.
To be honest, its a pretty sweet trophy and one that he can’t really hide all that well — even if it’s transparent.
It doesn’t appear 50 Cent is enjoying his award for his gaffe too much but he was a good enough sport to post a picture of the trophy.
So even though his time on the mound flamed out, he was able to get something out of it and that’s always a positive.
