The NFL and YouTube have agreed on a partnership that will include an NFL YouTube channel.

The NFL announced today that they have agreed to a partnership with YouTube, according to NFL.com.

The main idea of the partnership is for the NFL to create their own YouTube channel and use the world’s biggest video distributing engine to deliver NFL content to fans, such as game highlights, pre-game analysis and post-game recap, fantasy football advice, and other content from NFL Network and NFL.com.

The NFL wants to provide their fans with more coverage and information with this new NFL channel, which will be found at YouTube.com/NFL. It will make it very user friendly for PC, tablet and mobile users. The new channel will have a seven-day-a-week programming schedule that will consist of various types of NFL content that viewers will have access to.

More from NFL

"Partnering with YouTube and Google provides the NFL unique access to millions of highly engaged fans through the global leader in video and search, said Hans Schroeder, Senior Vice President, Media Strategy, Business Development, & Sales for the National Football League. We continue to see an insatiable appetite for digital video content, and this partnership further expands fans’ ability to discover and access NFL content throughout the year"

They also made the content very easily available through Google Search. Fans will be able to search through Google for NFL content and the YouTube channel will appear at the top as a featured link, making it very easy for users to find the content. Kickoff time and broadcast information will also be shown directly in Google Search.

The official NFL YouTube channel will seem to have it’s coming-out party this week as they prepare for Super Bowl XLIX. Leading up to the big game this Sunday, the new channel will be showing top plays, games and performers from this past season, as well as sights and sounds of what’s going on during the Super Bowl festivities in Arizona. It will also be very involved during the Super Bowl itself, posting highlights and top moments from the big game.

NFL fans are looking for more and more ways to get engaged with the sport that they love. We see that through all the different social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook. This new YouTube channel will give fans another vehicle in which they can get engaged with, as they can have access to all kinds of video, news and information which they can view and share with others.

This should be a pretty big hit with NFL fans across the country.
