20 best Super Bowl commercials of all-time

20. Honda “Matthew’s Day Off”
In 2012, Honda decided to spoof the ’80s classic film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off for their Super Bowl commercial, advertising the new model of the Honda CR-V.
In the ad, Matthew Broderick, the dude who famously played Ferris Bueller in the film, calls his agent to let him know he’s too sick to work today on his new film. After his agent buys his fake illness, Broderick sets off on a day of fun with his new CR-V that parallels Broderick’s “day off” from the movie.
The commercial features several awesome Ferris Bueller references, including the valet calling out “Broderick?” multiple times like Ben Stein hilariously did in the movie, Broderick pulling up to his agent at a stop light like he did to his father in the film, and the epic valet car jump.
The Honda CR-V is no red ferrari, but it gets the job done for Broderick on his day off.
