Brent Grimes’ wife Miko Grimes goes OFF on NFL in Twitter rant
The wife of Miami Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes had a lot to say about the NFL on Twitter.
Someone isn’t happy with the NFL and it has little to do with the #DeflateGate saga that has taken the league by storm.
Taking to Twitter.
The rant began with revealing the NFL took away a paid opportunity for Grimes after the cornerback left Pro Bowl practice to attend to his wife in the hospital as she dealt with physical complications.
""
Miko then turned her attention to the NFL not giving her husband the MVP award following an excellent performance in the 2015 Pro Bowl, believing it to have been part of the NFL’s punishment for the defensive back (Gomes secured a nifty interception in the end zone).
Miko didn’t stop there
She then attacked the integrity of the NFL, pinpointing their poor handling of domestic abuse to girlfriends and wives throughout the NFL and pinpointing how little the NFL truly cares about player safety, two issues that have dominated the leagues’s coverage over the last few years thanks to former players suing the league and the huge Ray Rice-Janay Rice saga.
""
Miko’s parting shot? A nice little threat toward the league if they allow their accused distaste for Brent Grimes to carry over into the NFL season by messing with how much the Dolphins player is owed by his team.
Considering the NFL is as close as an empirical entity that exists in the United States that ISN’T the government, it says a lot to how she feels about this situation that Miko Grimes isn’t afraid to hold back, especially as she has a conflict of interest with the league due to her husband being under contract for the Dolphins.
A lot of the points Miko hit on are absolutely true: the NFL hasn’t shown to care for the females of players following domestic abuse incidents (as seen by the original four-game suspension for Ray Rice) as well as doing their best to make observers believe they care about injuries — there is absolutely nothing safe about playing in Thursday games after a Sunday game and there’s a reason why those have been the lowest quality games the NFL has offered in the last two seasons.
And yes, all the NFL does care about is money. Unfortunately they’re going to keep receiving that money as long as they stay the most popular team in the USA.
Hopefully Miko — or Brent — doesn’t get in trouble for this rant.
