Joe Biden was very excited to meet Aaron Rodgers

Vice President Joe Biden was very excited to meet Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers when the two were on the Ellen show together.

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are fresh off a disheartening defeat at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, and it is a defeat that will stick in their heads all offseason long.

Despite the disappointment, there is nothing that they can do to change things and have to focus on getting better for next season. Rodgers was on The Ellen Show this week, and he had a big fan also invited onto the show. Vice President Joe Biden was a guest on the show as well, and it was very obvious that he was excited to meet the Packers’ star.

Rodgers’ girlfriend, Olivia Munn, and Biden were having a good conversation, when Biden spotted Rodgers and immediately cut off mid-conversation and went to greet the quarterback.

Munn posted all of this on her personal Instagram account. Who wouldn’t be excited to meet Rodgers after the type of football that he has played over the past few seasons? He is truly one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.

Here is the caption that Munn put on her Instagram picture:

“Was talking to VP Biden backstage at @TheEllenShow when he spotted my boyfriend and immediately stopped mid-sentence, got the biggest smile on his face & went over to shake his hand… yeah, I totally get it.”

Obviously she is just joking around about the situation, but it definitely is considered rude to cut off a conversation in mid-sentence to greet another person. Either way, no one can blame Biden for being excited about the opportunity.

To give a little background on why meeting Rodgers would be such an exciting event, all we need to do is take a look back at this past season. Rodgers ended up throwing for 4,381 yards, 38 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. Those are obviously MVP numbers, and he came up just a couple minutes shy of leading his team to the Super Bowl.

All of that being said, he is still not happy with the way that the Packers’ season ended. Ever since winning the Super Bowl back in 2011, he hasn’t been back to the big game. He will need to get back there at some point in the next year or two in order to seal his legacy, or he will risk getting a Peyton Manning type of postseason reputation.
