The NFL will air a new domestic violence commercial during the Super Bowl that focuses on the ways violence can be reported.

In response to greater scrutiny of domestic violence running rampant in the NFL, the league began a series of advertisements speaking out against such. It began with celebrities speaking out against domestic violence in a campaign titled ā€œNo More.ā€ Now we’re getting another commercial with a new look at the issue. This time it hits home.

While previous No More commercial featured a simpler display with people speaking out against domestic violence in a quiet format, this piece shows the harrowing effects domestic violence can have at home. We see and hear how such a call sometimes must be made in order for action to be taken.

Having received intense public scrutiny for cases such as those involving Ray Rice, Greg Hardy, and Ray McDonald, the NFL has made their efforts widely public in combating its tarnished image while providing a means for more support for those who have suffered from domestic violence.

The video description notes that this will be the first ever Super Bowl commercial to address domestic violence and/or sexual assault, which is both sad and encouraging. Hopefully, these types of PSAs become commonplace as societal awareness and indignation toward the matter increases.
