10. Joe Montana in Super Bowl XIX

QB, San Francisco 49ers

Joe Montana won four Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers and his play on Jan. 20, 1985 was one of the best performances in the history of the big game. He was incredibly efficient and wasn’t just dangerous through the air, but was on the ground as well. He was named MVP of the game in the 38-16 shellacking of the Miami Dolphins.

He passed for 331 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions while completing 24 of 35 pass attempts. However, it was his relatively incredible day rushing the ball that ranks this performance so highly on this list. He ran for 59 yards and one touchdown on five attempts on the day. His success in Super Bowl XIX was not going to be denied and his legacy is as strong as ever in and around the Bay Area.
