Professional golfer Tiger Woods said he wore a mask at Lindsey Vonn’s ski races because there aren’t a lot of brown dudes and he is trying to blend in.
Professional golfer Tiger Woods has been watching skier Lindsey Vonn compete at races and he has really stolen the show. He lost a tooth, grabbing the attention of people everywhere when that photo hit the internet and has since explained it.

“The photographer changed positions and I got hit,” Woods said, via USA TODAY Sports’ Steve DiMeglio. “It was an accident. … And yes there was blood everywhere”. I hate it when my photographer changes positions on me. It’s all fun and games until you lose a tooth.
“All good now.”
He is back at the slopes and this time wearing a mask. When asked about it, Woods explained that it wasn’t to cover the missing tooth, that he has since had it replaced. Instead, he offered a different and more honest explanation. I’ve never been to a ski race, so I can’t comment on whether or not it’s true, but according to Woods he would have been in the minority.
“I was trying to blend in. There were not a lot of brown dudes walking around,” Woods said.
When you’re a huge celebrity like Woods trying to quietly watch your girlfriend compete in peace, you can understand his desire to fit in. And according to the former world number one, without the mask he would have stood out.
Watch it for yourself:
The former poster boy of Golf has a lot more time on his hands these days as he is currently ranked 47th in the World. Perhaps the former number one should spend more time on his game than trying to blend in at ski races.
But who am I to talk, I’m not allowed anywhere near a golf course after I attempted the ‘Happy Gilmore’ drive on my last day out. After such a glittering career, Woods should be entitled to enjoy losing his teeth at ski races whenever he wants.
