Well, they need wait no more.

Tottenham today scored in the 88th minute to earn a draw and on the night and a 3-2 aggregate victory.

The London team would have advanced on the away goal rule anyway, but the game was in doubt up until the 88th minute when Christian Eriksen scored his second of the game.

It was an entertaining game with four goals that finished 2-2. Tottenham scored first in the 28th minute which made it appear like it would be an easy day at the office for the EPL team. Sheffield United, who are in League One (3rd division in England), were not going to go down without a fight.

Che Adams came on in the 74th minute and ade an instant impact, scoring two goals before the 80th minute.

It put the game in to serious doubt and there seemed like a huge upset could be on the cards. However, Tottenham defended well and then Eriksen scored his second of the night to put Tottenham in to the final. Sheffield United can be very proud of their display and will no doubt earn a lot of plaudits for outlasting so mnay of the major clubs in England.

It sets up a fantastic final between two London clubs, Chelsea and Tottenham.

The fans hate one another, the players hate one another and they both have some very talented players. It should be a great game and a special final. It would be Tottenham’s first trophy since the 2007/2008 season.

They go in to the final as underdogs but if they were to upset the EPL leader’s it would be a memorable night for all the Tottenham fans. It has been an exciting cup; hopefully the Final lives up to the billing. The final will be played on the first day of March, make sure to mark it in your calender.
