The upcoming show is described as a comedy following two best friends, and Jaden Smith will have a reoccurring role should the pilot move forward. The Hollywood Reporter describes his role as, “Curtis, a ‘New Atlanta’ teenager who is Langston’s rowdy neighbor with unpredictable interests and suspicious income.” Maya Rudolph, who is known for her seven years spent on Saturday Night Live, will play a burnt out musician, according to The Wrap.
The Hollywood Reporter describes the show as a “comedy about struggling entertainers and best friends Langston (Riddle) and Moose (Salahuddin) trying to navigate relationships and life in the black mecca of Atlanta.”
This will be Jaden Smith’s largest role in a television show and first acting role since After Earth, which earned him a Golden Raspberry award for worst actor and worst screen combo, with Will Smith.
