Los Angeles Clippers forward Matt Barnes got into a shouting match with hecklers and is blaming the Phoenix Suns’ owner instead

There re two things to know about Matt Barnes: He has played for just about every team in the Pacific Division and he isn’t afraid to get into it with people. The current Clipper and former member of the Phoenix Suns was fined for cussing at fans, even though he says he got it into it with his old boss.

Now, he’s paying the price.

Barnes was fined $25,000 for cussing at fans even though Barnes says it was Suns’ owner Robert Sarver who goaded him into the fine.

Barnes has always been one to get involved in these types of incidents, whether it’s yelling at hecklers, other players, or even at Floyd Mayweather, who Matt Barnes got into a shouting match with at the Clippers game against the Cleveland Cavaliers a couple of weeks ago.

Barnes isn’t happy about the fine to say the least. He took to Twitter like lots of people to vent his frustrations about the situation.

So Barnes says it was Sarver who started the whole thing and that he didn’t out Sarver because he doesn’t snitch. Well, it appears Barnes did snitch on Twitter and that “the code” as he calls it just became invalid.

Phoenix Suns beat writer for The Arizona Republic, Paul Coro, who has seen the video, says Sarver wasn’t even involved or near the incident, which makes the whole thing make a lot more sense considering Barnes past history with fans and getting in trouble.

So Barnes obviously frustrated by losing more money to fines, is trying to justify his actions any way he can rather than take accountability.

If he wants to stop losing money, he should probably ignore hecklers. Otherwise, he will be writing more checks to the NBA.
