Former NFL star Rodney Harrison blasted Marshawn Lynch for how the Seattle Seahawks running back handles the media.
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch might be the most polarizing figure in the NFL these days.

The 28-year-old’s refusal to cooperate with the media has endeared him to many and upset many others.
Among those bothered by Lynch’s act with the media: former NFL star and current NBC commentator Rodney Harrison.
Here’s what he had to say on The Dan Patrick Show:
"“Let me just say this coming from an African American man,” Harrison said. “For years, black people didn’t have a voice in this world. And you finally have an opportunity to have a voice and to talk, and you treat it and you make a mockery out of it like it’s a joke, and I don’t agree with it. And I don’t care if people criticize me for saying what I’m saying, it’s just how I feel, and I don’t like it.”"
Harrison added that he doesn’t like that people are celebrating Lynch’s behavior.
"“We’ve worked hard to try to get educated and to do things,” he said. “He has an opportunity that a lot of young African American kids look up to and when they see him acting like that, and people applaud it, and people support it, it’s not right and I don’t agree with it.”"
It’s certainly an interesting take on the situation. This isn’t just another example of a media member upset at Lynch for not giving he/she quotes. Harrison seems genuinely upset about the matter for reasons that go beyond football.
Unfortunately for Harrison, it’s unlikely his words will resonate with Lynch.
The Seahawks running back has made it fairly clear that he doesn’t care what anybody has to say about him. He doesn’t like the media and there’s nothing anybody can do about that. The latest proof of that was his performance at Super Bowl media day in which he answered every question with some variation of “I’m just here so I won’t get fined.”
Lynch rushed for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns this past season.
