player. 123. <p>Charles Haley is the only player to win five Super Bowls, winning three with the Cowboys and two with the 49ers. He burst on the scene as a situational pass rusher with the 49ers who drafted him in the fourth round out of James Madison and led all rookies with 12 sacks.</p> <p>He made his first of five Pro Bowl teams two years later in 1988 with 11.5 sacks in his first year as a starting left outside linebacker and won his first Super Bowl later that year. He set a career-high with 16 sacks in 1990 when he made his first of two All-Pro teams and won the United Press International Defensive Player of the Year.</p> <p>Haley’s volatile personality, he would later be diagnosed as bipolar in 2002, led to his trade from San Francisco to Dallas where he won a Super Bowl in three of the next four years. He played left defensive end with the Cowboys, recording 34 sacks in 63 games, including 12.5 in 1994 when he won the UPI Defensive Player of the Year and made his second All-Pro team.</p> <p>He retired with 100.5 career sacks, the 29th most in league history.</p>.
