<p>Jerome “The Bus” Bettis was the 10th overall pick in the 1993 NFL Draft of the Los Angeles Rams where he won the Offensive Rookie of the Year with 1,429 yards and made the first of two All-Pro teams and the first two of six Pro Bowl selections.</p> <p>His greatest success came with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he rushed for more than 1,000 yards in each of his first six seasons in the Steel City, including a career-high 1,665 yards in 1997. He shifted from the featured back to the short-yardage and goal line back at the end of his career with the Steelers and helped lead them to the Super Bowl XL win over the Seattle Seahawks.</p> <p>He is the NFL’s sixth all-time leading rusher with 13,662 yards.</p>.
