Did the aliens from Space Jam steal Chris Paul’s talent?
By Bryce Olin
Space Jam’s aliens may have stolen Chris Paul’s talents last night during the NBA‘s Los Angeles Clippers-Utah Jazz game
A very weird thing happened in Wednesday night’s matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers–Utah Jazz.
Late in the third quarter, Clippers point guard Chris Paul was guarding Jazz wing Gordon Hayward before he was called for a foul. After the foul was called, Paul starts spasming uncontrollably.
Deadspin’s Tom Ley questioned whether Paul was punched in the face by a ghost. Ley has a valid argument, but I don’t think Casper is to blame here.
There’s also been speculation that Paul was doing the “Humpty Dance” from Uproxx’s Andy Issac.
I don’t think that’s the case either.

No, the only “thing” responsible for causing paul to act that way is the aliens from Space Jam. We haven’t seem those little fellas since Michael Jordan destroyed them with the “go-go-gadget arm” dunk back in 1996, but it appears they’ve been hiding out in Salt Lake City all this time.
If you remember, in the film, the five aliens travel all over the country, scouting NBA players. Then, once they’ve found the right five players, the aliens travel onto the court during the game and steal the player’s talent.

Tell me Charles Barkley and Chris Paul aren’t making the same body movements!
Over the course of the next few games, watch closely to see if Paul looks like he has no business being on a basketball court. If his talent is gone, we might need to get Michael Jordan to get it back!
