Arnold Schwarzenegger in new Terminator poster
The former governor of California is still terrifying in new poster for Terminator Genisys
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s still got it in the the new promotional poster for the upcoming movie, Terminator Genisys. The former governor and bodybuilder sports his classic leather jacket and shotgun-wielding look for the new science fiction movie.
Arnold’s absence from 2009’s Terminator Salvation, starring Christian Bale, was met with a lot of criticism from critics and audiences alike. Arnold was replaced with computer graphics, and many felt that the omission of the man who is arguably the face of the series really hindered the movie.

Schwarzenegger agreed to reprise his role should a good script be written. It was announced in 2013 that Terminator Genisys, the first of a new trilogy of Terminator movies, will be released in 2015 with Arnold on board.
The plot for Terminator Genisys is described as follows:
"On the verge of winning the war against Skynet, John Connor sends his trusted lieutenant Kyle Reese back through time to save his mother’s life and ensure his own existence. But what he finds on the other side is like nothing he ever expected. After being orphaned at age 9 by a Terminator, Sarah Connor has since been brought up by another Terminator, played by Schwarzenegger, programmed to protect her. This Terminator has then trained her to face her destiny, which she adamantly tries to reject."
Emila Clarke, known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen on HBO’s Game of Thrones, is playing the lead role of Sarah Connor. Lena Headley, Clarke’s co-star on Game of Thrones, also portrayed Sarah Connor on FOX’s television series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Genisys is described as both a sequel, prequel, and reboot of the existing films.
Below is the trailer that was released in December of last year:
Terminator Genisys is out in theaters on July 1st, 2015.
