Odell Beckham, Drew Brees set Guinness World Record for one-handed catches (Video)
Drew Brees and Odell Beckham Jr. teamed up on Thursday’s edition of NFL Live on ESPN to set a Guinness World Record for the most one-handed catches in one minute.
New York Giants rookie receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made a habit of highlight-reel catches in his first professional season and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has made a career out of delivering pretty balls to receivers, so it only made sense the two team up to break a record.

Brees and Beckham teamed up on Thursday’s episode of NFL Live on ESPN to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most one-handed catches in one minute.
They needed 10 to break the record.
After 60 seconds the duo got 33.
The record had no chance of standing today with two of the best at what they do attempting to not only break the record, but smash it, and smash it is what they did.
The final number could have been even higher if Brees was able to get the balls out quick enough. He had a slight hiccup that left Beckham even throwing one ball back in one clean motion after he just hauled it in, with one-hand of course.
Think there were a few Saints fans wishing and hoping Beckham could be on the receiving end of passes from Brees in a Saints uniform?
After catching 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in only 12 games, Beckham made the Pro Bowl after one of the finest rookie seasons we have seen since Randy Moss came out of Marshall and scored 17 touchdowns with the Minnesota Vikings and struck fear into the hearts of opposing defensive backs.
So Brees to Beckham is not going to be a thing again unless it is in the Pro Bowl, but for Saints fans they’re hoping Brandin Cooks can be what Beckham is after they spent a first round pick on the 2013 Biletnikoff Award winner in last year’s draft. He had 53 catches for 550 yards and three touchdowns before injury ended his season permaturely after 10 games.
