The New York Post put up a headline trolling Seattle Seahawks star cornerback Richard Sherman about possibly missing the Super Bowl due to the birth of his baby.

Richard Sherman could possibly miss the Super Bowl due to the birth of his son, but only time will tell if he has to make that decision. Missing the birth of a baby isn’t an easy decision, but choosing not to play in a Super Bowl isn’t much easier.

Seattle is looking to win their second straight Super Bowl, which could make the decision a bit easier for Sherman if his son is indeed going to be born at the same time that he would be on the field. Playing in the big game last year makes this time around special, but not a once-in-a-lifetime possibility. Seeing the birth of his son is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

That being said, the New York Post decided to troll Sherman about potentially missing the Super Bowl in one of their headlines. It may not be the most tasteful thing, but it is a very normal thing for the New York Post to do.

Take a look at the headline of Sherman that they put up:

Sherman has been one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL for a few years now, and is continually getting better. This year he appears to have scared quite a few teams away from throwing in his general direction. He has been a big part of the Seahawks’ playoff run once again, and is hoping to be a big part of their second consecutive Super Bowl win.

Throughout the course of the 2014 regular season, Sherman ended up recording 57 tackles, four interceptions, eight defensed passes, and a forced fumble as well.

At 26 years of age, Sherman is looking to prove once again that he is the best cornerback in the NFL. The Super Bowl will add even more intrigue with Darrelle Revis and Sherman going head-to-head against each other. That being said, Sherman possibly missing the game has been gaining a lot steam among fans and analysts alike.

Don’t expect to see Sherman miss the game when everything is said and done. He knows that his team is depending on him, and he will do everything he can to be out there for him. Seattle has a very tough test against New England, but they have a much better chance with Sherman than without him.

Tom Brady has been playing MVP caliber football this season, and he shouldn’t expect to receive the gift of Sherman sitting the game out.
