3. Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are in need of some help at the wide receiver position, and a Randall Cobb addition would be huge for them. Adding him alongside of Kelvin Benjamin would be a perfect tandem, and would make the Panthers offense dangerous once again.

This past year was a bit rough at the wide receiver position for the Panthers, as they allowed Newton’s top three targets from the year before walk in the offseason. They drafted Benjamin, but that wasn’t enough to keep their offense at the level that it had been at. Signing Cobb would give Newton another threat, and would make their offense much more dynamic.

There is no question that Carolina is going to be willing to spend some money in order to take the next step. They aren’t far away from being legitimate contenders in the NFC.

Don’t be surprised to see the Panthers throw an aggressive offer at Cobb this offseason. There are other targets that they could focus on instead, but Cobb appears to be a perfect fit for what they’re looking for at this point in time.
