There are three games for the late night tournaments tonight. That does not mean that there are no useful options though.
Here are my late night FanDuel lineups for January 31:
Point Guards:
Bargains:
Isaiah Thomas, Suns ($5,800): Thomas struggled last night against the Bulls, but he has a much better matchup against the Warriors tonight. This will be a track meet, so expect a lot of playing time and available shots for Thomas tonight.
Brian Roberts, Hornets ($4,300): Roberts has had 49.7 fantasy points in his two starts since Kemba Walker has been out. Those are very good numbers for that low of a price. His statistics wont wow you, but he is at least consistently in the 20ās for fantasy points.
Worth The Cost:
Stephen Curry, Warriors ($9,800): Curry has three straight games of over 44 fantasy points. Two of those are against good teams in the Bulls and Jazz. Donāt hesitate to use him against the Suns tonight.
Risky Plays:
Ty Lawson, Nuggets ($8,600): Lawson has only averaged 25 fantasy points per game over the last two outings, but they were against the Pelicans and Grizzlies. One could then argue that the PelicansĀ were without Jrue Holliday and the Grizzlies were without Conley during those games. He is a tough sell against the Hornets, even without Kemba Walker.
Chris Paul, Clippers ($9,700): Paul had a good game against the Pelicans last night. Still, Paul has only topped 40 fantasy points in five of his last ten games. I wouldnāt trust him against the Spurs for this price.
My Lineups:
A: Curry and Roberts ($14,100)
B: Curry and Lawson ($18,400)
Next: There Are Really Only Two Options At SG

Shooting Guards:
Bargains:
Danny Green, Spurs ($5,800): Green played very well against the Clippers last night, but that was the only time he has been over 30 fantasy points since January 16th. He is a risky option, but if the Spurs rest their veterans on the downside of the back to back, maybe Green gets more of a run.
Worth The Cost:
Klay Thompson, Warriors ($8,800): Thompson hurt me last night with his dreadful game against the Jazz. I am expecting redemption tonight. The Suns donāt play a lot of defense, and he canāt be that bad two night in a row, can he?
Eric Bledsoe, Suns ($8,600): Bledsoe was the key to the game last night against the Bulls. We have been talking about the pace of this game all day here on Fantasy CPR. There will be a lot of scoring going on. The he scorers will be out in full force tonight. You definitely want to have them tonight.
Risky Play:
Arron Afflalo, Nuggets ($5,700): Afflalo was stymied by Memphis on Thursday, but prior to that, he had five straight games of 20 fantasy points. He has a tough matchup against the Hornets tonight. It will be tough for him to get back to the 20ās.
My Lineups:
A: Thompson and Bledsoe ($17,400)
B: Green and Afflalo ($11,500)
Next: Not Much At SF

Small Forwards:
Bargains:
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Hornets ($5,600): MKG has averaged 25 fantasy points per game over his last ten games. Despite the fluctuations in lineups, he has managed to stay consistent. He is one of the better options tonight at SF.
Gerald Henderson, Hornets ($5,100): Henderson has still managed to see plenty of minutes despite most of the team getting healthy. Lance Stephenson will be coming off the bench for the foreseeable future, meaning Henderson should continue to see upwards of 30 minutes a game. That should keep his production near where it is now.
Worth The Cost:
Kawhi Leonard, Spurs ($8,100): Leonardās numbers have fluctuated from time to time, but you canāt deny what he is capable of. If you have the money, he is worth taking a shot on.
Risky Play:
Draymond Green, Warriors ($7,300): Green was held to just 24 minutes last night. That is a trend that I wouldnāt expect to continue, but you never know with that crowded of a frontcourt. He has a great matchup against the Suns. Should he get the minutes, he should be the highest scoring SF in the late night.
My Lineups:
A: Kidd-Gilchrist and Henderson ($10,700)
B: Green and Henderson ($12,400)
Next: With Faried Out, Who Do You Play?
Dec 29, 2014; Charlotte, NC, USA; Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Knight (11) dribbles the ball as Charlotte Hornets forward Cody Zeller (40) defends during the first half at Time Warner Cable Arena. Mandatory Credit: Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports
Power Forwards:
Bargain:
Cody Zeller, Hornets ($5,300): Zeller has been over 30 fantasy points in three of the last four games. He is taking all sorts of minutes with Marvin Williams out again. As long as he is getting this much of a run alongside Al Jefferson, he is worthy of playing.
Worth The Cost:
Blake Griffin, Clippers ($9,700): Griffin might be the best option of the late games. Tim Duncan is only playing 26 minutes a game in January, meaning Griffin will have some good minutes against backups. He likely wont hit 50 fantasy points, but he could get 40. He is one of the few that can do that in late night.
Risky Plays:
Tim Duncan, Spurs ($8,000): Duncan is not getting enough minutes to trust right now. His price needs to be much lower than it is. Stay away from this one.
J.J. Hickson, Nuggets ($4,400): Hickson has lost a lot of minutes to Jusuf Nurkic lately, but with Arthur and Faried out tonight, Hickson will likely be the beneficiary of those extra minutes in the frontcourt. He will have a tough go of it against a good Hornets team though.
My Lineups:
A: Zeller and Marcus Morris ($9,300): Morris has had over 15 fantasy points in six of his last seven games. He should see plenty of minutes tonight in the track meet. Iām hoping he can do it again.
B: Griffin and Hickson ($14,100)
Next: Who Do You Want At C?
Jan 30, 2015; New Orleans, LA, USA; Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan (6) dunks over New Orleans Pelicans center Alexis Ajinca (42) during the second quarter of a game at the Smoothie King Center. Mandatory Credit: Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
Center:
Bargain:
Jusuf Nurkic, Nuggets ($4,700): Aside from his struggles last night against Memphis, Nurkic has seen solid minutes and enjoyed decent production. With two guys out in Denverās frontcourt, they are going to let him play until he passes out. That is a great opportunity for production.
Worth The Cost:
DeAndre Jordan, Clippers ($8,300): DeAndre Jordan vs. Matt Bonner? Yes please!
Al Jefferson, Hornets ($8,200): Jefferson could see a huge increase in usage with Kemba Walker out. He has done well in the two games so far. Just be aware that he will rest when this one gets out of hand.
Risky Play:
Andrew Bogut, Warriors ($5,800): He had three straight games of more than 30 fantasy points before missing a game earlier this week with an illness. He was not that good against Utah last night. Play him at your own risk.
My Lineups:
A: Jordan ($8,300)
B: Brandan Wright ($3,600): Wright has been much better than Alex Len. Itās really only a matter of time, isnāt it?
