In the video shown below the two teamed up with Marriott for it’s Courtyard Camera series. NFL Network’s Rich Eisen got in on the fun as well as the two surprised guests with a Super Bowl check in with the possibility of winning two Super Bowl tickets. Later the two did their best to accommodate unsuspecting people as bistro servers.
Thomas and Decker both spoke to FanSided about their part in the give away, “I think it’s been a great experience, the best experience I’ve had so far this year. Courtyard did a nice job of having guys come in for the Super Bowl check in and I was there with my buddy Decker, also on site was Rich Eisen and it was all fun” Thomas said.
Decker recalled one fan’s reaction in particular, “We got one really good reaction, he was actually a Patriots fan. He came down for just some of the Super Bowl parties, staying out for the week. He was actually not only checking in he was just checking on something else, and they offered him the Super Bowl check-in which we were doing and Demaryius walked out and Rich Eisen and asked him football questions. This guy knew a lot about football so he recognized both of us and right there, we played the joke on him and offered him two Super Bowl tickets and he screamed, jumped, he did it all. It was nice to see he was excited and happy that he won these two tickets”.
The bistro is where some of the real comedy ensues as they take bites of ordered food, and toss around a water bottle while serving. When asked to give themselves a grade for their overall service Thomas said, “I would give myself an 11 out of ten”. Decker on the other hand gave himself a more modest grade when asked, “I guess maybe I would give myself a B, maybe a little above average. There were some people who responded well to the fun and some people who were a little confused by it, but it was fun”.
Demaryius also commented on how he was excited to work with his former teammate again, “It was good to see him, the excitement the connection was still there, it was a lot of fun. I’m glad we were able to do it together, we haven’t talked in a while”.
