NFL: Ranking the top 5 free agent running backs
By Evan Massey

2. Justin Forsett
Ray Rice was expected to be the Baltimore Ravens’ starting running back, but he was cut very quickly when the team found out that he had punched his girlfriend unconscious. After that move, Justin Forsett stepped up in a huge way and took a firm hold of the starting running back job.
Forsett ended up racking up 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns on 235 carries. He is 29 years old, which puts him a bit outside of his prime. That being said, he hasn’t had a ton of wear and tear, and still has plenty of good football left in him.
Baltimore is going to do everything they can to re-sign Forsett, and rightfully so. Other teams are also going to be in pursuit of him, and will be offering very generous contracts to him. There is no denying the talent that Forsett has moving forward, and there are quite a few teams out there that could use a running back like him.
There weren’t many people who predicted Forsett to have the type of season that he had, but he was able to prove himself to the league and set himself up for a nice reward in a large contract this offseason.
