Bruce Arians says the Arizona Cardinals will be playing in Super Bowl 50.
The Arizona Cardinals had the best record in football at one point this season. Then things went off course and they lost not only starting quarterback Carson Palmer, but back up Drew Stanton to injuries.
That ended prematurely a dream season that seemed destined for a deep post-season run. Still, the Cardinals are turning their attention to 2015 and another post season run, and head coach Bruce Arians thinks that will be playing for a Super Bowl in Levi’s Stadium.
From the Cardinals’ website:
"Asked what he planned to be doing a year from now – when the Super Bowl will be played in the 49ers’ home of Levi’s Stadium – Arians quickly said, “Playing.”“We’re dressing in their locker room,” a smiling Arians said, turning around his season-long mantra of 2014. “We can write it down today.”"
Of course there are a slew of NFC teams looking to knock the Cardinals off next year, like the two-time conference champions Seattle Seahawks who play in their division. The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers are both contenders.
With two-time coach of the year Arians on staff, and if the roster can get healthy and stay healthy, there is no limit to the Cardinals potential success.
Certainly it is easier to believe Arians rattling off about potential postseason glory than any promises Rex Ryan makes
