Katy Perry paid Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson the perfect compliment before she performs at the Pepsi Super Bowl 49 halftime show tonight.
When I want hard hitting analysis of the Super Bowl matchup between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks I turn on NFL Network to see Rich Eisen and company breaking down the game and turn to ESPN on commercials.
However, when I want to be entertained while getting hard hitting analysis of the Super Bowl I turn to Katy Perry, naturally.

Perry is performing at halftime of Super Bowl 49 and she has been charming, engaging, funny and drop dead gorgeous all week as she met with the media to talk about her set list, guest appearances and her wardrobe for the performance.
And she also was asked what she knows about Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson who is the youngest quarterback in NFL history to start his second Super Bowl.
No, she didn’t say she liked his pocket awareness, his ability to pick up yards with his feet or his incomparable intangibles. But she said she knows how humble the third-year quarterback is, which is one of the things that makes him so likeable for die-hard and casual NFL fans.
What followed that compliment was something about Wilson’s off-the-field behavior. You’re probably thinking it has something to do with his weekly visits to Seattle Children’s Hospital, right?
Nope, she knows Russ is a big fan of pizza, in addition to being so humble.

How can you not love her?!
She’s an entertainer and that was entertaining to me.
If you have any problem with this, take it up with the guy asking the question, because I frankly don’t care what the performer of the halftime show thinks or knows about the quarterback, running back, coach or anyone involved with the actual game has to say.
We don’t go to Katy Perry to break down the x’s and o’s, we go to Katy Perry because she’s a talented singer and entertainer who also happens to have quite the sense of humor too.
