The first lady of football and New York Giants matriarch Ann Mara has passed away. She was one of the most respected and loved members in the NFL community. She will be missed.
Mara was in good health until she slipped on some ice in front of her house and suffered a head injury. She died from complications from the fall two weeks later. She was 85 years old.
She loved the game of football. She loved her New York Giants. One of her great moments was from the Giants Super Bowl win when she interrupted Terry Bradshaw from his interviews to let him know that he never picked the Giants to win.
We will miss Mrs Ann Mara. She has been an amazing person and will be missed around the league. May she rest in peace.
