Retractable roof of Super Bowl stadium opens up (Photo)
A photograph taken by NFL Network’s Rich Eisen shows the roof of the University of Phoenix Stadium open up to clear skies.
Rich Eisen posted a photo inside the stadium for Super Bowl XLIX, showing the retractable roof open up to the azure heavens above Glendale.
The weather for kickoff at tonight’s game is supposed to be right in that Goldilocks “just right” range of 70° Fahrenheit. Neither wind nor precipitation is supposed to play a factor at all throughout the contest.
The last time the Super Bowl was held in Glendale, the roof was closed all game because of rain concerns. Now the only concern for fans is the illusive pants versus shorts conundrum, although either way they won’t look out of place with weather like this.

For many fans across the country who are currently living in a real world version of Winterfell, shoveling snow in their driveways or shivering lonely over a cup of French onion soup, the image just looks perfectly ideal.
Hopefully the game tonight between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots can live up to the gift that mother nature bestowed upon it.
He wasn’t the only one either:
