First, it was a leaping grab down the sideline on a deep bomb to put the Seahawks in scoring position. Second, it was an 11-yard touchdown pass from Wilson with just two seconds left in the first half to tie things up at 14-14 heading into halftime.
Matthews is a 6’5″ rookie wide receiver out of Kentucky who didn’t make a single catch throughout the entire regular season. His size allowed him to catch two big passes for 55 yards and a touchdown so far this evening. The Seahawks are likely going to continue looking to him in the second half. Not only has he made a difference in this game, he also was the player that recovered the onside kick against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game.
New England got off to a quick start, but the Seahawks were able to remain composed and work their way back into the game. Tom Brady has looked very good so far, but the Patriots were unable to maintain a lead. Pete Carroll was very aggressive going for the touchdown with just a few seconds left in the half, but it could end up being a huge difference-maker.

If you haven’t tuned into the game yet, make sure you turn it on to watch the second half. It has been quite entertaining, and both teams have looked evenly matched.
