The Super Bowl is the highlight of the careers of so many players, but a handful of Super Bowl competitors won’t actually be competing and will instead be inactive.
Super Bowl XLIX is going to crown a champion of the NFL this weekend, but not everyone is going to be playing in the game. Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and others are going to no doubt be playing, but not everyone is going to get a chance to live out a lifelong dream.
According to Ian Rapoport from NFL Network, there will be a few notable New England Patriots not partaking in the Super Bowl activities.

Jonas Gray is notable in that he exploded for a game against the Indianapolis Colts but fizzled out after that. It’s unfortunate that he won’t be able to cap off his season by playing the biggest game of his career, but it’s a give and take unlike any other sport. In all other sports, there is a chance that everyone can play at any point in the game, but in the Super Bowl there needs to be a handful of players ruled out.
Gray some of his other Patriots teammates are the odd men out, and will have to watch the Super Bowl with what amounts to the best seat in the house.
