Lynch is going to be asked to carry a large load tonight in order for the Seahawks to come away with their second straight NFL championship. Seattle’s offense has been extremely inconsistent this year, but their defense is without question the best in the league. New England has a very potent offense, which will force the Seahawks to find ways to put points on the board.
That being said, Lynch has always found ways to come through for his team in the past. He’s had an impressive playoff run so far, and put up big numbers in the regular season.
During the 16 regular season games he played, Lynch ended up carrying the football 280 times for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns. Those numbers alone show just how important he is for the Seahawks, and he has racked up 216 yards and a touchdown on 39 carries in the playoffs.
Both teams are very talented, and neither team was favored by much heading into tonight’s game. They are both very well coached, and it will likely come down to which team executes their game plan better.
