After another Tom Brady interception, the Seahawks go on another touchdown scoring drive.
The heart and soul of the Seattle Seahawks offense, Marshawn Lynch, is starting to make his presence felt in the Super Bowl.
Despite seeing loaded eight- and nine-player boxes, Lynch is further cementing himself as the only guy in the NFL worthy of his āBeast Modeā tag. Bill Belichickās gameplan to shut down the Seahawksā run game has been fruitless.
Tom Brady was intercepted for the second in the game as he looked for Rob Gronkowski over the middle. Bobby Wagner came away with the theft.
From there, Lynchās constant pounding set up this beautiful play action from three yards out:
Darrelle Revis, who is one half of the cornerback 1st Team All-Pro team was beat on the crossing pattern by Doug Baldwin. Itās important to note the umpire helped out a little as well.
The other half of the 1st Team All-Pro tandem at cornerback, Richard Sherman, was quite amused with the Baldwin grab.
As Seattleās offensive play number finally creeps up to normal (after losing the time of possession in the first half badly), Lynchās effectiveness is starting to take effect.
Lynch has rumbled for 88 yards on 19 bruising carries so far. Thatās a 4.6 yards per carry average.
Despite New Englandās best efforts along the edge, Wilson has escaped the pocket a few times scampering for 39 yards on three official carries.
With Seattleās defense still playing very aggressively, Brady is going to have to hit a few one on ones for some chunks of yardage if the Pats want to climb back into this one.
