Danny Amendola receives a 5-yard pass from Tom Brady for a touchdown.
With the New England Patriots in the red zone on a 2nd and goal, Tom Brady dropped back to pass and found wide receiver Danny Amendola for a 5-yard touchdown pass.
Patriots move to within 3 points of the Seattle Seahawks at 24-21.
The Seahawks seemed to lose track of Amendola, as he was left pretty wide open in the end zone. A Seahawk defender was close to him, but really had no chance of breaking up the play.
The play comes right after Brady missed a wide open Julien Edelman in the end zone for an easy touchdown, so it would have been very dispiriting for the Patriots to come out of this without a touchdown.
Brady must have thought it was Rob Gronkowski at first, except Edelman is not quite as tall. By not quite as tall, I mean miniature.
Also, with the touchdown pass, Tom Brady now passes Joe Montana for most touchdown passes in Super Bowl history.
