Tom Brady has his say on the brawl in Super Bowl XLIX

People around the world are still trying to digest the exquisite meal that was Super Bowl XLIX. Who could have asked for a better game? Obviously, if you are a Seahawks fan, you are currently sitting in your room hating life.

However, for the rest of us, it was a game to behold.

It will live on in my memory, and the memory of every football fan for lots of reasons. It was a close game, filled with wild incidents. The half time show was a success, and the commercials throughout the game were met with positive feedback. One thing that ‘marred’ the game was a brawl.

I say ‘marred,’ because only old football veterans will be disappointed with the brawl. Everyone else in the world was hoping something would happen, and it did.

When the game was all but wrapped up, the Seahawks were visibly upset and Gronk was hit with a cheap shot. This led to a massive brawl between the two teams — much to the delight of the viewing public.

There were some good shots thrown, but like most sporting brawls; it was mostly posturing. However, Patriots quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady said he was glad it didn’t escalate, because he would have got his ass kicked.

I guess we will never know Tom, we will never know. I would have loved to have seen it, though.
