Arian Foster Wants New Houston Texans Uniforms
Arian Foster wants the Houston Texans to get new uniforms now that they’ve been around for over a decade.
Through a series of tweets Saturday, Houston Texans running back Arian Foster attempted to get the ball rolling on uniform changes for the franchise next season.
The Texans have worn the same uniforms since they became an NFL franchise in 2002, with the only addition being an alternate red uniform in 2003, so it has been 11 years since any changes were made to the uniform set. While this is understandable given that they were trying to establish the brand of a new franchise, Foster believes now is the time for a refreshing change for the franchise.
Foster did not go into detail on what changes he would like to see made, though he did talk about his preferences among the current uniforms, as well as one idea for the future:
If I may make a suggestion — one that might be impossible — if the Texans are willing to change up the color scheme, I can suggest some uniforms that are not only great, but already have ties to the Houston area: a return to the classic Oilers uniforms. Make it happen, Houston.
