Is it time for you to pick up Jerami Grant?
In a word, yes; yes it is time for you to run out and pick up Jerami Grant. This young rookie is earning more and more time every game, and with his 18 point performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers that included three three-pointers, seven rebounds and two assists, we should expect to see that trend continue. I fully expect that the tanking 76ers will continue to bring him along somewhat slowly, but that could be to fantasy owners advantage. That could give you a slight bit of time to execute some buy-low offers for his services in case someone beat you to him off the waiver wire.

As of today I am only suggesting Jerami Grant as a must-own player in leagues of 12 teams or higher, but if you have a spot to burn in a standard-sized league, he could wind up being a nice preemptive addition to your team.
Our friends over at Hoops Habit recently highlighted a post about how Grant has emerged and firmly implanted himself in the 76ers rotation and you should check that out as well as you decide whether or not you want to take a chance on the young rookie forward out of Syracuse.
In Grantās previous ten games he is now up to 23.9 minutes per game and is delivering 8.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.6 blocks. However, in four of his last six games, Grant has scored ten or more points and is beginning to add some peripheral stats in there as well. He really seems to be adapting to the NBA at a pretty quick rate for a guy who missed training camp and the first 15 games of the season.
Grant is a guy I would want on any dynasty team that I own, just for the simple fact that he could become a legitimate player for a 76ers team that seems to have no real identity right now. He is only 20 years old, so as he matures and as his body grows and packs on muscle, his game could really take off and take him to the next level in a hurry.
I would not break the bank in acquiring Grant, but I certainly would float some offers out to owners in 14-20 team leagues that already own Grant and see if you can maybe acquire him at a low price before he really begins to make waves and assert himself as a blossoming fantasy option. The 76ers have really been a team that is making some of these young rookie players nice options to target, but something about this guy seems to say that he is legitimate and he will be one that will stick.
