Who did the Stanford Cardinal get in the 2015 recruiting class?
After four straight BCS bowl bids, the Stanford Cardinal slid back into the pack in the Pac-12 in 2014, finishing a distant second to conference champion Oregon after winning two straight Pac-12 North titles.
The Cardinal were just 8-5 last season, but closed with three straight wins—including an upset of then-No. 8 UCLA at the Rose Bowl to close out the regular season—and finished with a convincing 45-21 win over Maryland at the Foster Farms Bowl down the road in Santa Clara, Calif.
It appears coach David Shaw has defied the odds in recruiting at a school with tougher academic standards than many Power 5 programs and has landed a second consecutive top 20 class, headlined by a commitment from five-star wide receiver Trent Irwin from Newhall, Calif., who committed last month and is expected to put his name on a Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
Shaw has done a solid job continuing the success started by Jim Harbaugh on The Farm and now all that is left is to get the final commitments from what looks to be a superb recruiting haul—getting those signatures on National Signing Day Wednesday.
Who did the Cardinal end up landing to bring the program back into the upper echelon of the Pac-12? Follow along with us on Wednesday to see who the next impact player at Stanford might be:
