Which players could fly under the radar as Cy Young Award candidates in the National League?

It smells like Spring, and as February arrives, baseball fans begin to look forward toward the 2015 season. “Hope Springs Eternal” in the world of Major League Baseball, and that rings true even in the world of individual expectations for players as they look for rebounds and/or breakouts after less than stellar seasons in some cases.

In this space, we will take a look at five pitchers in the National League who are flying under the radar a bit, especially with regard to the race for NL Cy Young consideration. It should be noted that most of these pitchers have been considered Cy Young level at some point in their career, but a mixture of young pitchers on the rise and veterans looking to reestablish themselves puts together a strong group of contenders that fell outside the top-5 of the voting in 2014.
