On his radio show today, Dan Patrick fire another shot toward Colin Cowherd, after a radio caller brought up their feud.

Cowherd ripped Patrick on his show Monday, saying that Patrick doesn’t work as hard as Skip Bayless or Jim Rome, and that Patrick “needs 35 producers to fill a segment.”

Patrick fired back the following day, saying “I don’t have 35 producers. I don’t work at the Worldwide Leader. I do have two producers here who did work on Colin’s show, and the one thing that I do is I give credit to my producers on the air. It’s not a one-man show. All the people behind the scenes who help out on Colin’s show — they don’t get any recognition.”

Today Patrick added more fuel to the fire, saying of Cowherd:

"“I want to move on from it. I shouldn’t have even lowered myself to it. Somehow he’s complimenting Skip Bayless and Jim Rome, and he brought me in, and I thought he did a disservice to them. You want to compliment them for their work ethic? Feel free. But, it felt like he used them to denigrate me and this show, and I wouldn’t stand for it, and certainly the guys working for me.“Speaking of resources, I’ve got four guys who work on this show. He’s at the Worldwide Leader. He’s got more resources than any other radio host in America. Just do your job, move on. […] This isn’t physical lifting. I never said that I’m working hard, but I’m trying to work smart. And anybody in sports media — they’re not working hard. We’re lucky. I’m very fortunate to be able to do this. I have friends who work hard — police officers, schoolteachers. I’m not in danger here. The people in the military — they’re the ones who work hard. Work ethic? I hope I got it from my mother and father. We work hard, but we work hard in the context of what we do for a living, and we’re very, very fortunate.”"

The feud between Patrick and Cowherd goes back to 2012, when Cowherd took credit for an interview of Kurt Warner that Patrick did.

Cowherd has a history of igniting controversy on his show, and this is not the first media member he’s gone after. However, he and Patrick were friends in their ESPN days together.
