NSFW: American skier Bode Miller was involved in a major crash at the World Championships on Thursday, and suffered a gnarly gash in his leg.
On Thursday, Bode Miller was returning to the slopes for the first time since back surgery in November.
Many anticipated this year’s event would be his final World Championships tournament, and it quickly took a turn for the worse during his attempt down the slopes in the super-G race — which was held in Beaver Creek, Colorado.
Bode Miller won medals in the event during the 2010 and 2014 Olympics, but his run on Thursday was not as successful.
On his way down the course, Miller clipped one of the gates and went spiraling out of control.
The result of the crash was a gnarly gash on Miller’s leg which allowed viewers at home to see the blood oozing out of his body. If you are squeamish, you should probably not scroll down any further, because the cut is certainly disgusting and it may cause you to lose your lunch.
